Fondazione Antonio Stradivari Ente Triennale Strumenti ad Arco - Liuteria a Cremona
Cremona 1730 - 1750
The city in the limelight Cremona is keenly involved in Liuteria in
Festival
The city is both the backdrop and the stage
of Liuteria in Festival, providing a setting
steeped in historical and artistic interest.
Our heritage, jealously preserved and enhanced,
places Cremona squarely among the art cities
of Italy, reinvigorating the pride and sense
of identity of its citizens and making it
a fascinating place to visit.
The Stradivarius Foundation gives great importance
to the creation of links and cooperative
arrangements with major Italian and foreign
musical organisations, to strengthen Cremona's
role as a meeting place between musicians
and violin makers. The close alliance between
the Violin-Making School and the “Monteverdi”
Musical Institute is a step in that direction.
Several other arrangements have been made
to ensure that Cremona shows its best face
in the artistic, cultural, entrepreneurial
and culinary fields. An example is the information
point in via Solferino, set up in cooperation
with the Chamber of Commerce. Before and
during the exhibition, for about a month,
visitors will be able to find details of
the exhibition and the October violin-making
events. There will also be a free guide service
and routes to follow to obtain further information.
Our multilingual outreach is further boosted
by the website (http://www.fondazionestradivari.it),
now also in German and completely renewed,
by specific publications distributed at major
international exhibitions and sent around
the world, and by coverage of the event in
Italian and foreign sectorial media.
Finally, fresh artwork and specially prepared
posters will welcome visitors and accompany
them on a pleasant violin-related city tour.
