CREMONA, SEPTEMBER 27th – OCTOBER 19th 2008 - Concerts, meetings, recitals, seminars..

Saturday 27 September, 9am, Stradivarius Museum: opening of the exhibition “Cremona1730-1750”: in the Olympian era of Violinmaking”, dedicated to the last years of classical violin making. This was a period when two of the greatest violinmakers of all time, Antonio Stradivarius and Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù, were working at the same time,as well as the sons and pupils of Stradivarius.Out standing among the latter was Carlo Bergonzi. The exhibition is organised in cooperation with the Municipal Council of Cremona
At 9pm the inaugural concert of the ArchiQuartetProject will be performed by the Fine ArtsQuartet, from the USA, organised in cooperation with the Ponchielli Theatre Foundation.
